An opportunity to join an entrepreneurial business leading the way in one of the most exciting sectors of real estate - BTR. This role will offer you involvement in a wide range of transactions, funding and disposal of BTR developments as well as other corporate matters.


The business is a fully integrated investor, developer, operator and asset manager of professionally managed institutional-quality BTR properties in the UK. They were one of the first BTR operators in the UK and now have a portfolio of over 4,000 units across 11 towns and cities, including both operational assets and its development pipeline. The business is extremely active in acquiring further sites.


You will have responsibility for corporate and structuring aspects of transactions relating to the acquisition, development, operation, funding and disposal of BTR-led development schemes. This is a newly-created role, reflecting the companies expansion, and will directly support the CEO, Finance Director and Acquisitions Director in executing these transactions, as well as managing the existing corporate structure, including tax planning.


-corporate finance aspects of property acquisitions, disposals and funding of developments (including development JV's and forward funding arrangements)

-transaction structuring and tax planning

-evaluation of investor bids and co-investment proposals

-transaction execution including preparation, negotiation and review transaction documents

-arrangement of debt including acquisition, construction and investment finance

-maintaining network of lender relationships

-source, compare and negotiate terms for debt funding requirements

-execute debt funding arrangements

-determine and execute hedging strategies

-maintain efficient corporate structure of the group including maintenance of service agreement arrangements between group entities

-oversee corporation tax compliance and tax planning across the group

-develop and maintain relationships with key tax, legal and other advisors


-real estate corporate finance experience covering acquisitions, disposals, development, joint ventures, forward funding, debt arrangement, tax planning per above

-experience of maintaining inter-jurisdictional holding structures, including Luxembourg and Jersey, understanding the merits of each

-keen intellectual ability to analyse corporate structuring situations and propose potential solutions

-clear communicator, able to summarise and explain commercial impacts of structuring decisions

-diligent, focused with keen attention to detail
