Privately-owned, long established property investor and fund manager owned by a sizeable Family Trust and associated Charitable Foundations. The business comprises:
-Wholly owned, actively managed multi-let c.£290m commercial property portfolio, predominantly in southern England across three main asset classes (industrial, retail and offices); and
-A fund established by the company exclusively for charity investors in 2015 and managed since. The fund provides exposure to actively managed UK commercial property, the portfolio is currently c.£85m. There are currently 19 investors (including Oxbridge Colleges and City Liveries) and a target fund size of £200m within the next five years although growth beyond that level is envisaged over the longer term.
Both businesses have outperformed benchmarks and peers over the longer term. In addition to attractive total return metrics, both have delivered ever-growing sustainable recurring dividend streams to shareholders/unit-holders covered by earnings. The wholly owned business has delivered 30 successive years of dividend growth to its shareholders.

Working closely with the Finance Director, this is a strong opportunity to learn and gain insight into all aspects of business operations. You'll be getting involved with:
-Quarterly management accounts and projections
-Cashflow / treasury management
-Assisting with financial evaluation of transactions
-Corporation tax and compliance. Computations are prepared in house and formal returns and computations are prepared by Deloitte, reviewed and checked before submission
-Year-end financial statements, annual audit and resolution of audit queries
-Supporting the delivery of the 5-year strategic plan
-Biannual dividend and debenture interest payments
-Assisting in the management of the banking relationship including facility monitoring and covenant compliance packs
-Ad hoc projects
-1-3 year PQ accountant who either has real estate sector knowledge or a desire to work in the sector
-Strong analytical skills coupled with a naturally curious mindset
-Willingness and desire to learn, with excellent communications skills
