The group is a joint-venture which has been formed to construct, develop and operate a large-scale build-to-rent social housing platform across the UK. It is using a novel MMC-driven construction technology in combination with access to cost-efficient labour. This will allow for significant cost and time savings compared to traditional construction methods.
Capitalised by institutional investors, the organisation is experiencing rapid growth within an entrepreneurial setting and provides a unique opportunity for an experienced individual who would welcome the chance to get involved in a broad range of finance and commercial activities.
The entrepreneurial nature of the business requires someone who is comfortable on a construction site as well as the board room and in high-stakes negotiations with large private sector institutional investors and senior public officials.
Responsibilities will briefly include:
-Team build-up, management and motivation
-Coordination of accounting, controlling (inc. project controlling) and reporting function (initially outsourced until in-house function is in place)
-Selection, implementation, operation and maintenance of a company-wide IT system covering accounting, controlling, treasury, compliance, MIS but also property and portfolio management
-Coordination of tax planning and compliance
-Investor reporting & regular communication
-Debt covenant monitoring and reporting
-Treasury, cash and debt management including spear-heading regular capital raises in conjunction with outside capital market advisors
-Qualified accountant with significant experience within the UK property sector
-Capital Market experience
-Excellent IT skills and ability to use technology for constant process improvements
-Efficient communicator, both internally and with external partners and stakeholders
